Announcing Comprehensive Compliance Tracking Platform & Sole Source Eligibility

By January 5, 2026Preview Only

Over the past 5 years, Outpatient App has developed an approved, fully secure, comprehensive medical compliance tracking system. Today, there are 7 separate product module systems all connected within the Outpatient Platform, plus a Reporting Dashboard adaptable to each of them.

The central theme is Compliance and Process Workflow Automation to simplify and remove all inefficiencies using AI technology.

Each of these systems were co-developed with a Federal Health System Partner – vetted and validated in their environment prior to being implemented live – through the Small Business SBIR program. The Air Force has led the effort on the Gov side, with some participation by Army and Navy. Four Bases participated in the development effort – Travis AFB (CA), Holloman (NM), Joint Base San Antonio (TX), and MacDill (FL). (via AFWERX & SBIR together

The platform has proven to reduce significant manual labor hours and overall time efficiency for both Patients and Medical Staff. Across multiple locations, the system has saved ~10,000 hours per clinic per year.  The use cases where the system is implemented are expanding and this overall number is expanding as well.

Outpatient is now the first and only digital health software company to win an SBIR Phase III contract award. (which started with MacDill

For our Federal customers (US Military / DoW, VA, HHS, etc), a key benefit of this success is called Sole-Source Eligibility. Phase III means these solutions can be purchased without needing a competitive bid because the SBIR process checks off that requirement. The eligibility extends forever, with no limitation on size or number of contracts awarded. (*)

For Outpatient App – it’s also obviously a huge benefit. We achieved this sole-source status perpetually and can leverage the eligibility across multiple customers and environments. It is also a partnership lever as well, we are a Prime Contractor and can also Sub to other Primes when applicable. (*)

The latest product is an Agentic AI Assistant that programmatically communicates directly with patients to coordinate their compliance requirements. It finally completes the cycle of eliminating exhaustive manual labor by medical staff to keep compliance requirements current.

Today, there are literally dozens of Military Bases across the US and Globe interested and requesting access to the platform. The groundswell of interest at the base installation level has been growing rapidly over the past year, with the full support of DoW & Air Force Medical leadership. There is a process underway to enable the next steps.

For the broader health system market, government or commercial, the majority of our system is applicable to any health system environment. The terminology can be different, but the health process and medical treatment is the same.  Outpatient leveraged the largest health system in the world to develop a series of digital health workflow automation solutions that is now vetted and validated for most any health situation. Dual-purpose success is a big focus for Government Technology – Outpatient is an example of it working.

As a result of the Phase III status is a huge benefit to the customer – the government. They can purchase a vetted, validated solution without needing a competitive bid process because the SBIR process checks off that requirement box. The FAR regulations (Fed Acquisition rules)
